This school operates the Green Card Scheme: This means you can be referred to a doctor or nurse at the local health centre to get health, including sexual health, advice. The green card needs to be picked up from the medical welfare officer and allows you to be signed out of school, perferably at lunchtimes. At lunchtimes the local health centre is closed to the public and therefore is a more private time for you to go.
We now have sexual health in school on Wednesdays 2-4pm with a doctor/nurse in the Crayon Centre. During school hours appointments can be made with Mrs Francis Medical/Welfare Officer or after school hours (no appointment needed).
For all advice on contraception, pregnancy, all sexual health problems to pupils of Hayle Community School.
